Let me tell you something…

Let me tell you something. Listen up really close.

You are much more than what they think you are.

Let me repeat that.

A lot of the time some of us get caught up in the mix of what other people think of us AND what they say about us.

This is such a passionate topic for me, because I have had people in my life who have aimed to prove how much less than them I am.

And guess what, for a LONG time I believed it.
I believed that I in fact, was less. I measured myself up to them and felt incompetent.

Let me tell you something else, the only time a person will want you to feel like you are LESS than they are, is when they do not feel like they are ENOUGH themselves. (read that twice.)

These people are not for you. These people are against you and everything that you stand for. The truth is, they see your light and they want to dim it. As long as they can make you feel inferior, their false sense of self esteem will feel big. They are against you because deep down inside, they are really against themselves. So, the problem is really theirs.

Do NOT let these people ruin you. Do not let these people get under your skin. Do not retaliate against these people (cause that never works). Easier said than done, right?

I am telling you, just let them be. Let them be and pray for them. While you pray for them, pray for yourself. Pray that you will see and believe your own worth.

Take your eyes off of them and aim them at God.

God tells us in His word that He has made us in His image. Therefore, the only measure that you should be using on yourselves is God’s measure. You should be measuring up to who you are in Christ Jesus. That is it. NOBODY else. When you are measuring yourself against what other people say/think about you – you are losing.

When I stopped looking around and started looking up…I realized that I am and always have been ENOUGH. God says so.

You are enough too. God says so.

So, again, let me tell you something…YOU ARE MORE THAN WHAT THEY THINK OF YOU.
